Sadly, tomato season seems to be over. But I made a lot of great things with them! I froze a bunch to use later, made tomato water for cocktails, and also made some tomato paste.
We enjoyed them as:
- Part of a charcuterie plate (caprese style, with burrata and basil)
- A tomato tart on puff pastry
- Pico de gallo
- Tomato pie
- And in a weird experiment, a Caprese Cocktail: tomato water, vodka, basil, mozzarella whey
